At this level we offer three qualifications:
For Mathematics and ICT you will complete a fixed-date, externally marked assessment. The assessments are available every month.
For English you will complete externally marked assessments for Reading and Writing, either by on- screen test at any time or as a paper-assessment available once a month. You'll also complete a Centre-assessed Speaking, Listening and Communication assessment, which can be done at any time.
At this level we offer three qualifications:
Level 2 will suit you if you have some knowledge and basic skills and are ready to handle more complex problems, involving often unfamiliar contexts. You'd like to learn how to express, understand or apply more advanced concepts or ideas.
Level 2 will suit you if you are a care worker or want to get your first care job. If you're already working in care, you probably work mainly under supervision. You want to increase your skills and take on more responsibility.
You complete nine core units at level 2:
Level 3 is ideal if you're a care worker, and you have some responsibility in your workplace. You sometimes work without supervision. You want to develop or demonstrate your skills, perhaps to become a senior care worker.

The Level 3 provides a pathway for learners to understand assessment and if required, qualify as an assessor. Learners who wish to achieve these units could be assessing competence or non- competence based learning, knowledge or skills. They will select the units and qualifications that meet the requirements of what they are assessing.

The Level 3 Award in Education and Training is an introduction to teaching that will give an insight into the roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training, how to plan and deliver inclusive teaching sessions and how to assess and give constructive feedback.
TAQA E-learning programme
This new e-learning programme provides end-to-end delivery and assessment of the Level 3 Award in Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment – part of our robust Training, Assessment and Quality Assurance (TAQA) portfolio.

It is an ‘in service’ qualification designed for those working or wishing to work as teachers/trainers in England. It may be possible for pre-service teachers/trainers (defined as those who are not formally contracted as teachers/trainers) to also complete this qualification. All candidates, whether pre-service or in-service must have access to 30 hours of teaching. This qualification is also suitable for those delivering education and training in any learning environment.
Candidates who successfully complete this qualification will have a fundamental understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a teacher/trainer in relation to legislation,equality,diversity, inclusive and meeting the needs of learners. They will be able to use initial and diagnostic assessments and plan and deliver inclusive teaching and learning. They will also be able to assess learning and use appropriate resources to support effective learning.

Show that you have the skills needed to keep a care-provision organization running smoothly with the Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services. This 2-3 years qualification gives you the opportunity to build both your managerial and care skills, allowing you to help more people. It also fulfils the regulatory requirement for those looking to become managers of children's homes or adult residential and domiciliary services.
Who are they for?
This qualification is for those already working in health and social care. You might be an assistant or deputy manager, or a manager who has not yet achieved a recognized vocational qualification at this level.

The Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector qualifies you for Qualified Teacher, Learning & Skills
(DTLLS) status. You can qualify for Qualified Teacher, Learning and Skills (DTLLS) status, but if you already have DTLLS status you can do a shorter subsidiary diploma to become a qualified specialist teacher.
Who are they for?
The Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (DTLLS) is for anyone working as or planning to become a full teacher in further, adult or continuing education. You should have Level 3 skills in the subject you intend to teach, though a qualification is optional. You'll need access to 150 hours of teaching practice in a recognised lifelong learning location to earn a diploma, and 75 hours for the subsidiary diploma.
